I’m a high tech girl at heart - let’s face it, I have 4 computers, an iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, all the video game systems I could possibly need, and a TV in every room of the house. So I was thrilled when I heard that Birchbox was doing the high-tech equivalent of a box this month - all of the beauty products that are innovative, solving problems we never knew we had, and being at the cutting edge of making. it. work.
So what was in YOUR Birchbox this month? (Sign up here if you feel left out!)
Thanks to my obsession with Birchbox, I am now a Birchblogger! It’s their new blogger network they just launched and I’m honored to be included.
I’ll take this opportunity to also say, I’m playing around with the idea of some fun new changes on the blog! New look, new ideas, new…stuff. The look and feel is going to be a lot different, and I want to add a lot more variety into the posts. What spurred these thoughts for me was the realization that I’ve been trying to be EVERY KIND of blogger. I want a food blog and a fashion blog and a photography blog and a video blog and it just gets exhausting. Putting all of your eggs in 80 different baskets means you aren’t making the kind of impact you COULD be. And this is my home, and after all, blogging with AJ is blogging with me, so why can’t it include all of these things? I still want to make video blogs. In fact, I’ve discovered that I really enjoy just making simple ones that I can just ramble on for 30 minutes about nothing. I want to do more of those. I want to post my pictures of my adventures. I want to show outfits. We’ll see, I’m not promising anything, but do be looking out for new and fun changes soon. I don’t want this blog to die an early death, so I’d like to breathe a little life into it now while I’m motivated.
Anyway, shout out to Birchbox for letting me roll in their blog ring. Legit.
Another month, another Birchbox. This month’s was put together by Cynthia Rowley, which was quite a special treat. What was inside mine? Take a peeksie.
Things that seemed like a good idea at the time: Slip and Slide Thursday. My sis and I put on prom dresses and decided to go take pictures in the lawn of us in said dresses…on a slip and slide.
Why? No clue. It started with an idea that we’d be in dresses in a pool, but we were too cheap to buy a pool and this Slip & Slide was only $5. There. That’s why.
Completely pointless video where I follow around an armadillo that apparently, lives under my parent’s deck. My sister says it can give you leprosy. Yay! Sounds fun!!
